RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, is creating new records, and breaking old ones as well, way before its release. The film is breaking even those records that everyone thought were unbreakable, like that of Baahubali 2 records. RRR has already crossed the $2.4M mark in the USA, to become the highest ever Indian premiere in the country ever.
The film is also expected to breach the records of Baahubali 2 in the Telugu states on the first day, with its collections, and a similar feat is expected to follow in other South Indian states as well. However, the scenario is completely different in the North, where the pre-bookings for the film are less than impressive. This has got the makers of the film, and the distributors of the Hindi version very tense.
Experts suggest that this has been the case with every film that’s been released in the Northern belt, post the pandemic, and the film is expected to pickup from the second week. Nevertheless, it is being said that the film would turn out to be a safe bet in the North, only if the word of mouth for the film is more than excellent.
