T’town legend Dr D Ramanaidu will soon have a coomemoration memorial — there’s a Peepal tree, about one year old, known as the ‘Tree of Life’ which was planted in memory of and as a tribute to Dr D Ramanaidu. Now, there will be a big memorial surrounding it. The movie veteran’s son, T’town producer, Suresh Babu told an English daily, “Abstracted in a rock formation, the memorial is named ‘The Nurturing Hands’ to mark the 80th birth anniversary of the man who shall continue to live in the hearts and lives of generations to come.
We hope that the memorial becomes a place of reflection and devotion for all young and aspiring filmmakers”. Their family is one of the most renowned film families and D Ramanaidu’s work is set to go down in the annals of Tollywood history as some of the finest. In a career of over 60 years, he has priduced around 150 films in 13 Indian languages. He was also awarded the Dada Saheb Phalke for his contribution to cinema.
