The Madras High Court has directed Bobby Touch Gold Universal Pvt. Ltd. to respond to a petition filed by actor Ravi Mohan, who has alleged a breach of contract.
Ravi claims he signed a deal to act in two films and was allotted 80 days from January to March 2025, but no shooting began.
He said the delay caused him to lose other film offers. Though the schedule was extended till June, the project didn’t progress, prompting him to withdraw.
Ravi is now seeking Rs. 9 crore in compensation for the losses and has also requested a ban on the release and sale of the production house’s films, including Chennai City Gangster. He sent a notice demanding the return of the Rs. 6 crore advance.
During the court hearing, his lawyer stated that he is willing to return the advance. However, the company’s lawyer claimed Ravi acted in another film, violating the agreement. The case was adjourned to July 23rd.
