The sneak peek of Superstar Rajnikanth’s new movie “Coolie” was recently released, stirring up mixed feelings among fans. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the teaser carried high expectations. However, while Rajni’s fans are thrilled with his presence in #Thailavar171, followers of the director seem less pleased.
The glimpse of “Coolie” primarily focuses on introducing Rajni’s character through Lokesh’s lens. Fans who anticipated something on par with Kamal‘s “Vikram” or Vijay‘s “Leo” were left disappointed. Unlike the jaw-dropping impact of the initial glimpses of those films, “Coolie” failed to incite similar excitement. Despite the novel use of gold chains as weapons, Rajni’s dialogues and the presentation style fell short of expectations, leaving many movie buffs dissatisfied.
Comparatively, the teaser for “Vikram” impressed audiences with Anirudh‘s music, Lokesh’s innovative concepts, and Kamal’s captivating screen presence. Similarly, Vijay’s teaser for “Leo,” featuring him retrieving a weapon from a melting chocolate, was thrilling. It’s puzzling why Lokesh Kanagaraj didn’t deliver to something similar Rajni in “Coolie,” but perhaps he’s saving the best for the trailer. While Rajni’s fans are overjoyed with his appearance, the teaser for “Coolie” didn’t quite meet the high expectations set by the director’s previous works.
