Rajkummar Rao is currently promoting his upcoming action thriller Maalik, which hits theatres on July 11th. Directed by Pulkit the film features him as a gangster-turned-power player, alongside stars like Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, and Medha Shankr. Meanwhile, Rajkummar is also preparing for his next project, a dark comedy for Netflix.
Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, the film takes a quirky, black comedy approach to a murder mystery. Filming begins this month in Mumbai at locations like Aerocity and Film City.
Impressed by the script, Rajkummar has joined as a co-producer, marking his second production venture after Toaster, another Netflix film releasing later this year.
At the same time, buzz is building around the upcoming Sourav Ganguly biopic, in which Rajkummar plays the lead.
The sports drama reunites him with director Vikramaditya Motwane, and while it’s still in pre-production, this comedy gives Rajkummar the perfect window to stay active.
