It might have been a long time of over eight years since Chiranjeevi bid adieu to movies and moved to politics. But it seems his comeback film is having a great deal of buzz. No wonder, the North America distribution rights of the film, a remake of Tamil movie Kaththi has been sold for a whopping price of Rs 13.5 crore to Classic Entertainment.
Interestingly, this is the highest amount paid so far after Bahubali, and proves that the buzz surrounding the film is pretty high. The film, slated for a release during Sankranthi 2017 is directed by VV Vinayak who has given Chiru a hit film like Tagore earlier in his career.
The crazy combination paired with fact that the film stars Kajal Aggarwal in a leading role is raising the stakes of the film, making it one of the biggest releases in 2017 already. Let’s hope this hype doesn’t fizzle out once we enter the cinema halls.
