Justin: AP government restrict the theatre occupancy to 50%

For the past few days news has been circulating among media circles is that the Andhra Pradesh government is going to impose night curfew and restrict the theatres’ occupancy to 50% soon due to the sudden surge in the Covid-19 third wave cases in the state.

True to the buzz, this afternoon an official announcement came out that the AP government is going to impose night curfew in the state from 11 PM to 6 AM as an immediate effect. News is also that the occupancy in the cinema halls will be restricted to 50% occupancy.

Following the Andhra Pradesh government’s footsteps, will the Telangana government also impose lockdown restrictions across the state? Remains to be seen.
