Tollywood has had a mixed year so far, with some movies performing well, and some not. The major problem has been with the ticket prices, which have contributed a lot to the underwhelming performance of even good movies. Despite the constant criticism, filmmakers don’t seem to be very much concerned about audiences not wanting to spend a lot on movie tickets.
The only film that was released according to the nominal prices that were the norm previously, is Adivi Sesh’s Major, which was released today. Apart from that, every other film has either been released with huge prices, following permissions, or with the newly increased prices. With Natural Star Nani’s Ante Sundaraniki all set to be released next week, on June 10th, everyone is wondering what choice the makers of the movie would be making.
There’s still no clarity over whether Ante Sundaraniki would be released like F3, with the new, increased prices, if it would be released with higher prices, or if it would follow Major’s route. It is now to be seen what will happen in the end.
