Here’s the outcome of Producers’ Guild meeting

Telugu Film Industry has been going through unprecedented times. It’s been more than 100 days that shootings have been halted. Recently industry bigwigs met Telugu states CMs for the permissions to resume shootings and were successful as well. However Covid-19 positive cases are increasing day by day. In Hyderabad, the situation is becoming worse as we are witnessing more than 500 positive cases daily from the past few days. TV serials shooting which started a few days back came to an abrupt halt as positive cases are witnessed within a serial team.

To analyze the situation and discuss the difficulties being faced, the Producers’ Guild met through the Zoom conference call. The outcome of the meeting is that it is unanimously declared shootings shouldn’t resume until at least August. Coming to the theaters, they should be opened only if at least 4-5 film producers are ready with the release of their movies.

They even discussed the difficulties faced by daily wage workers who have no other income source apart from working for films. Hope, normalcy restores very soon.
