Shashtipoorthi, a new family drama starring Nata Kireeti Rajendra Prasad and National Awardee Archana, has a new song. Guess what makes this a stand-out song? The union of two legends. Yedho Ye Janmalodo is its title.
Composed by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, it is written by MM Keeravani. Director Pavan Prabha must be credited with bringing the duo together for this soothing melody about a woman’s love and her male partner’s heartfelt feelings. “Though Rahman and Chaitanya Prasad had written earlier songs, I approached Keeravani sir for his profound and catchy style. He penned a stunning pallavi after coming to know that Maestro is the composer. Ananya Bhat’s rendition elevated the song,” the director shares.
The song features Rupeysh and Aakanksha Singh, both of whom look made for each other. They are seen clad in costumes associated with the romantic leads in the movies made in 1980s. The tinge of nostalgia can’t be missed. The picturization is spot-on.
Some well-known faces like Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Muralidhar Goud, and Jabardasth Ram will be seen in different roles in Shashtipoorthi.
