“Dunki” marks an upcoming emotional entertainer starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, which is creating quite a buzz. Hirani’s signature style involves crafting stories with natural emotions and entertainment, steering clear of extravagant action sequences or grand sets.
As with his previous films, “Dunki” is reportedly being made on a modest budget of 100Cr, not including the fees for Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan. Despite the restrained budget, the film has already secured a substantial non-theatrical business of around 230Cr, covering its production costs and leaving a surplus of about 130Cr.
This anticipation around the film’s potential success has led to the confirmation of its release date. If Raj Kumar Hirani manages to deliver a compelling storyline as he’s done before, there’s talk that Shah Rukh Khan might catapult the movie into the coveted 1000Cr Club.
The theatrical release could potentially amass over 400Cr in shares. Considering the budget of 100Cr, the film’s overall revenue might reach a share in the 600Cr range, with profits being divided among the producers, including Shah Rukh Khan and Raj Kumar Hirani.
