A couple of days back news came out that Nikhil and Anupama Parmeshwaran’s upcoming film, Karthikeya 2 which is scheduled for a July 22nd release has been postponed. As per the reports, the film’s release is postponed due to a delay in the post-production activities.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that the team is planning to release Karthikeya 2 on August 5th. On the same date, already Kalyan Ram’s semi-period film, Bimbisara is scheduled for a theatrical release. As per the inside reports, a war of words is going on between the makers of Karthikeya 2 and Bimbisara on the release date. However, to get clarity on the release date for both films, we have to wait and see for a few more days.
While Karthikeya 2 is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and bankrolled by People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal, Bimbisara is produced by Kalyan Ram himself and is directed by a debutant named Vashisht.
