Vivek Soni

Biography:

Indian writer-director Vivek Soni is renowned for his personal, deeply felt narratives that examine vulnerability, camaraderie, and contemporary relationships in many cultural contexts. In order to create emotionally engrossing worlds, he frequently combines location, language, and music.

He graduated from ICFAI University in Hyderabad with a B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication. Before going to film school to study direction and pursue a career in filmmaking, he started his career in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather in Mumbai.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021), Vivek’s first feature film, signaled the start of his continued partnership with Dharma Productions and its digital division, Dharmatic Entertainment. Love on Air, a docu-fiction section in the anthology Love Stories, and Aap Jaisa Koi are two of his works that continue his investigation of romance influenced by location, customs, and modern life. His next film, Chand Mera Dil, starring Lakshya and Ananya Panday, is a young adult romance that takes place in Hyderabad.
