Umesh Ghadge

Biography:

Umesh Ghadge is a well-known Indian actor, director, and an ex-assistant director who has been able to make the perfect transition from a long behind-the-scenes filmmaking career into that of a successful character actor in Bollywood, Marathi, and OTT industries. After having spent almost two decades working his way up in the industry—mostly by working as an associate director for veteran filmmaker David Dhawan in films such as Partner and Main Tera Hero—he made his debut as an independent director with the Marathi dark comedy Welcome Zindagi (2015) and the Hindi adult comedy Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 (2016), and also directing youth web series such as Life Sahi Hai 2. Over the past few years, he has dedicated himself to his acting career, becoming famous for playing roles of authoritarian, strict, or upper-class people in shows such as Advocate Anjali Awasthi (Star Plus), where he plays Raghav Singh Rajput; Made in Heaven (Amazon Prime, Season 2), Somnath Menke; and Scam 2003: The Telgi Story (SonyLIV), where he played Bhavya Inaamdar.
