Biography:

Thirupathisamy was and Indian film director known in telugu and tamil film industry. he made his debut in 1998 with a successful movie ganesh.
He died in the car accident in chennai in june 2001.
He graduated with master of law from the Ambethkar College.

Thirupathisamy’s journey in film started as an assistant to renowned director Suresh Krissna, learning the ropes on projects like Veera and Baashha. In 1998, he burst onto the scene with his directorial debut, the Telugu action film Ganesh, starring Venkatesh. Its success, garnering five Nandi Awards, cemented his reputation. He further solidified his talent with another Telugu hit, Azad, featuring Nagarjuna, Soundarya, and Shilpa Shetty.

His promising career took a turn when he was chosen to direct the Tamil film Narasimha, initially intended for another director. His prior successes and captivating work on Narasimha led him to his next project, Velan, a remake of Azad, with Vijay and Priyanka Chopra. Sadly, fate had other plans.

While returning from an editing session, Thirupathisamy met with a fatal car accident, silencing a rising star before the release of Narasimha. The film was dedicated to his memory, a testament to his brief but impactful career.

His story continues to resonate even after his untimely demise. The planned Velan found life in M. Raja’s Velayudham, starring Vijay. Actor Srikanth’s character in Sadhurangam was named after him, a tribute from his close friend, director Karu Pazhaniappan. AR Murugadoss even acknowledged the echoes of his tragic death in his film Engaeyum Eppothum.

Thirupathisamy’s talent and potential left a lasting mark on the film industry. His story serves as a reminder of life’s fragility and the enduring power of artistic expression.
