Biography:

An Indian actor, director and filmmaker, Taher Shabbir aka Taher Shabbir Mithaiwala is famous for his contributions to the fields of Hindi television, films and digital entertainment. A graduate with a Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) from K.C. College in Mumbai, he began his career in the field of cinema off-camera as an assistant director of Agneepath (2012), the action blockbuster.

He gained wide recognition in the world of television with his performance as the charming Viraj Singh Rathore in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Star Plus’s popular teen drama in 2014. He made his debut in Bollywood movies as Sid Kapoor in the Shah Rukh Khan film Fan (2016) and later took up parts in films such as Naam Shabana (2017) and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019). Also, he has won massive praise for his performance as Arshad Habib in Bepannah, Colors TV’s romantic drama telecast in 2018.

In the domain of digital streaming, Taher Shabbir is well-known for his multi-faceted acting with strong performances as Danish Ali Baig in Guilty (2020) on Netflix and Naman Arya in Kaala (2023), the crime thriller released on Disney+ Hotstar.
