Sushmitha Bhat

Biography:

In addition to a few Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil films, Sushmitha Bhat is an Indian actress and dancer who primarily appears in Kannada films and television. She made her feature film debut in the Telugu film Natyam after being well-known for the Kannada TV series Kavyanjali. Her roles as Ambika in Love Marriage and Nanditha in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s debut Malayalam film Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse won her praise from critics.

Sushmitha Bhat grew up in Bengaluru and Udupi after being born in Chennai. She is a trained classical dancer with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She signed a contract to portray the lead role of Anjali in the Kannada soap opera Kavyanjali in 2020.

She debuted as a supporting dancer in Revanth Korukonda’s dance love drama Natyam, which was released in 2021. She appeared in the Kannada movies Kaljiga and Chow Chow Bath in 2024. In contrast to Mammootty and her Tamil debut in Love Marriage, she debuted in Malayalam with Gautham Vasudev Menon’s mystery comedy thriller Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse. She appeared in Pranav’s Diés Iraé that year as an absent heroine.
