Shrikant Verma is an Indian actor known for his work in Bollywood films and Hindi web series. He gained fame for his roles as Mamaji in the web series “Mirzapur” (2018) and Jaiprakash in the first season of “Breathe: Into the Shadows” (2020) on Amazon Prime Video.
During his school days, Shrikant developed a passion for acting and actively participated in stage plays and dramas. Despite his parents’ initial disapproval of his acting ambitions, he continued to pursue his passion in theatrical productions without their knowledge.
He was previously associated with the Shri Ram Centre Theatre Repertory Company and Kingdom of Dreams. In 2014, Shrikant appeared in the film “Ankhon Dekhi” as Master Ji, followed by his role as Shakha Babu in the Bollywood film “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” (2015).
Shrikant has played supporting roles in several Bollywood films such as “Batti Gul Meter Chalu” (2018) as Pandhar Prasad, “Halkaa” (2018) as Pushpender, “Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi” (2019) as Basant, “Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai” (2021), and “Helmet” (2021) as Gupta on ZEE5.
In 2020, he portrayed Parmeshwar in the Hindi web series “Panchayat” on Amazon Prime Video. His role as Jaiprakash in “Breathe: Into the Shadows” earned him a nomination at the Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a comic role.
Outside of acting, Shrikant maintains his fitness through regular workouts. In 2021, he appeared in three Hindi web series: “Tandav” as Manohar Thakur, “Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar” as Ramesh Rajan on Amazon Prime Video, and “Matsya Kaand” as Vinod Singh on MX Player.
He was also invited as a panelist at the Kautik International Film Festival in December 2021. In 2022, Shrikant reprised his role in the sequel of “Breathe: Into the Shadows” on Amazon Prime Video, starring Abhishek Bachchan.
In the same year, he appeared in three Hindi films: “Laal Singh Chaddha” as the sports coach, “Chakki” as Bada Babu, and “Aye Zindagi” as Mr. Sharma.
