Sharon’s contribution to Odissi, in particular, has earned praise from her guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, who declared her as one of his five best disciples capable of representing Odissi globally.
Sharon Lowen’s artistic influence goes beyond classical dance, as she portrayed herself in the award-winning Telugu film “Swarnakamalam” (1988), directed by Dr. K. Viswanath. Her Odissi dance in the film serves as an inspiring symbol of classical dance tradition.
