Shantel VanSanten

Biography:

Shantel VanSanten (born July 25, 1985) is an American actress and model. As a model, she has been featured in Teen Vogue and Seventeen magazines. On television, she portrayed Quinn James in One Tree Hill on The CW, played Becca Butcher in The Boys on Amazon Prime Video, and starred as Julie Swagger in the USA Network series Shooter. Her film credits include The Final Destination, You and I, and Something Wicked. From 2019 to 2023, she played Karen Baldwin in the Apple TV+ sci-fi drama For All Mankind.

Born in Luverne, Minnesota, VanSanten is of Dutch and Norwegian heritage. She was raised in Spring, Texas, and attended Incarnate Word Academy in Houston before studying at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She began her modeling career at 15 under Page Parkes Management.

VanSanten was a finalist on NBC’s reality show Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Model Search but was eliminated in the first episode. In 2007, she joined the film adaptation of t.A.T.u. Come Back, starring alongside Mischa Barton. The film premiered in Russia in 2011 as You and I and was released in the U.S. the following year.

In 2009, she appeared as Lori Milligan in The Final Destination, the fourth installment of the horror franchise. That same year, she joined One Tree Hill as photographer Quinn James, the sister of Bethany Joy Lenz’s character. She remained a series regular until the show’s final season, making her last appearance in the 187th and final episode. She was ranked #24 on BuddyTV’s “TV’s 100 Sexiest Women of 2010” and #21 in 2011.

VanSanten played Christine in Something Wicked, the last film featuring Brittany Murphy. In 2012, she starred in the holiday romantic comedy Golden Christmas 3. She later appeared as Vera Buckley in The Messengers, which was canceled after one season. In The Flash (Season 2), she portrayed Patty Spivot, a detective and love interest of Barry Allen.

Between 2016 and 2018, she co-starred in Shooter as Julie Swagger. She also guest-starred in Scorpion and played Rebecca Butcher in The Boys. From 2019 to 2023, she starred as Karen Baldwin in For All Mankind. She also voiced Wraith in the video game Apex Legends and appeared as Special Agent Nina Chase in FBI (2022-2023).

On February 9, 2021, VanSanten got engaged to actor Victor Webster, whom she met on the set of Love Blossoms in 2016. They married in October 2021, but Webster filed for divorce in January 2023, and their divorce was finalized on July 2, 2024.
