Biography:

Saptaraj Chakraborty is a noted filmmaker, screenwriter, editor, and director from India, who has made a name for himself in the domain of Hindi digital entertainment. He started his professional journey with the creation of short films, music videos, and branded content, and then managed to make a successful switch towards directing web series. His earlier works such as an award-winning short film “Mehmaan” and a mini-series “The Presage” (2017) brought him recognition for the ability to create captivating images and suspenseful stories. In addition, prior to his start as a director, Chakraborty worked as an editor for many years, thus, having excellent experience in visual storytelling.

He came into wider attention because of his web series such as Hawa Badle Hassu (2019), Bajao (2023), Fuh se Fantasy, and a romantic comedy “Pyaar Testing” (2025), co-directed with Shiva Varma. His creative works include various genres, namely romance, comedy, thriller, and coming-of-age stories. He also worked as a screenwriter on such films as “The Presage,” “Hawa Badle Hassu,” and “Bajao.”
