Indian actress Kaleeshwari Devi, better known by her stage name Saleema, primarily performs in Malayalam films. Her most well-known roles are that of Lakshmi in Nakhakshathangal and Ammini in Aranyakam. She is the daughter of Girija, a Telugu actress. Saleema claims that Girija passed away on September 5, 1995.
She had also appeared in a few Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films. For many years, she was virtually unheard of in the movie business. Munthiri Monchan: Oru Thavala Paranja Kadha, released in 2019, marked her return to the Malayalam cinema business.
