Biography:

Revathi, also known as Revathi Varma, is an acclaimed Indian actress, filmmaker, and social activist. She has primarily worked in the South Indian film industry, specifically in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema. Revathi was born on July 8, 1966, in Kochi, Kerala, India. She hails from a Malayali family and was brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Revathi made her acting debut in the 1983 Tamil film “Mann Vasanai.” Her breakthrough came with the 1984 Tamil film “Mouna Ragam,” directed by Mani Ratnam. The film’s success established her as a talented actress in the industry. Her performance as Divya in the film earned her critical acclaim and a strong fan following.

Following her success in Tamil cinema, Revathi went on to act in numerous Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She portrayed a wide range of characters and was known for her ability to convey emotions convincingly.
