Ravi Adhikari

Biography:

Ravi Adhikari is an Indian film maker, producer, writer and media executive who specializes in Hindi films and digital entertainment. Born into the Sri Adhikari Brothers media house, he started off in the realm of television production with creative production roles for television series like Janmdaata, Hongey Judaa Na Hum, Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baitha Hai, and Shrimaan Shrimati Phir Se. He has trained under his father, media entrepreneur Gautam Adhikari, thus gaining wide experience in the art of content creation before venturing into films.

His directorial debut came in the form of the Disney+ Hotstar original movie Dheet Patangey (2020). This is a coming-of-age drama that focuses on the hopes and challenges faced by four characters that is appreciated for its new story and modern themes. He furthered his creative output with the co-direction of the Marathi comedy Lochya Zaala Re (2022) and direction, production and screenwriting of the Disney+ Hotstar political thriller Karm Yuddh (2022), featuring Satish Kaushik, Ashutosh Rana, Paoli Dam, and Rajesh Khattar.

This is his breakthrough piece in the OTT world that was appreciated for its compelling family drama, political intrigues and stellar cast performances. Apart from being a creative, Adhikari is also the Chairman and Managing Director of TV Vision Limited where he oversees the expansion of the company in broadcasting as well as continued content creation through various platforms under the Sri Adhikari Brothers family name.
