Biography:

Chennai, Tamil Nadu-based Pushkar and Gayatri are a husband and wife team of filmmakers. Their works are renowned for their distinct aesthetic, technical mastery, and deftly constructed narratives. The quirky dark comedies Oram Po (2007) and Va-Quarter Cutting (2010) were their first Tamil feature films as writers and directors. They scripted and directed Vikram Vedha in 2017, which was the highest-rated Indian movie of the year on IMDb and won numerous awards. The highly regarded Vikram Vedha was adapted in Hindi in 2022, starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. With the tent-pole international series Suzhal: The Vortex on Amazon Prime Video, they entered the streaming market as content producers. They were the producers, writers, and showrunners of the award-winning program in India and elsewhere. Aelay (2021), Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie (2022), Exam (2026), and Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani (upcoming) are some of their other noteworthy creations.
