Biography:

Paoli Dam is an Indian actress who has been actively working in Bengali cinema, Hindi movies, and digital entertainment. She started her acting career with Bengali TV serials and later moved to movies. She made her movie debut with Agnipariksha (2006). She gained fame after playing the role of Madhabilata in Kaalbela (2009), which was a film directed by Goutam Ghose. She proved her talent with critically acclaimed movies like Moner Manush (2010), Chatrak (Mushrooms) (2011), Elar Char Adhyay (2012), Natoker Moto (2015), Maacher Jhol (2017), and Love Aaj Kal Porshu (2020). Paoli made her debut in the Hindi film industry with Hate Story (2012), and she later acted in Ankur Arora Murder Case (2013).

She has been successful in building her acting career in the OTT platform as well, playing lead roles in Kaali (2018–2020), Bulbbul (2020), The Great Indian Murder (2022), Karm Yuddh (2022), Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley (2023), and Ganoshotru (2025). Her acting performances have been praised for emotional performances, character building, and acting versatility in different genres such as crime, drama, mystery, and thrillers. She is regarded as one of the leading actresses of contemporary Bengali cinema.
