Biography:

Nikhat Hussain Khan, an Indian actress, model, and producer of Hindi films, was born on August 4, 1962. Nikhat, the daughter of Bollywood actor, director, producer, and writer Tahir Hussain and his wife Zeenat Hussain, was born in Mumbai on August 4, 1962, into an Indian Muslim household. Out of four children, she is the oldest. Her two brothers, Aamir Khan and Faisal Khan, are also well-known actors in Hindi cinema, and she has a sister, Farhat Khan Datta. Herat, Afghanistan, is where her family originated. Khan’s paternal grandpa was a Pashtun schoolteacher. Farhat Khan is wed to Rajeev Datta, the brother of Aamir Khan’s first ex-wife, Reena Dutta.

In addition to her father and brothers, Nikhat’s late paternal uncle, producer-director Nasir Hussain, his son Mansoor Khan (director of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak), and his daughter, actress Zayn Marie Khan, have all been involved in the Hindi cinema industry. Her first cousin, Nuzhat Khan, is the father of former movie star Imran Khan. The family has important relationships outside of the film business. Her great-granduncle was the Muslim scholar Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was close to Mahatma Gandhi and appointed India’s first Minister of Education by Jawaharlal Nehru. Nikhat’s father’s cousin is Najma Heptulla, a politician.
