Neel Guha

Biography:

Neel Guha is an Indian movie director, scriptwriter, and filmmaker working mostly in Hindi digital entertainment and independent films. The filmmaker rose to fame when he directed the crime thriller web series Smoke (2018), an original production of Eros Now featuring crime and politics as it unravels the dark side of the Goa drug mafia in a tale of power, betrayal, and thrillers. The series starring actors Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Gulshan Devaiah, Mandira Bedi, and Amit Sial gave Neel Guha the reputation of a master of dark stories with complex plots and an ensemble cast.

As an independent filmmaker with an interest in unorthodox genres and storytelling, Neel Guha created his body of works in digital entertainment and short films with a modern visual style and a complex plot. Smoke is one of the films that brought Guha to prominence as a rising filmmaker in the Indian OTT space.
