Manikanth Kadri is an Indian film composer, singer, and soundtrack artist. He has mostly composed music for films in the Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada languages. He is the son of Kadri Gopalnath, the renowned saxophonist.
Composing music for jingles and devotional albums was Manikanth’s first gig. In addition, he won the Kerala State Award for best music for his compositions, which included the title track for the Malayalam television series Annu Mazhayayirunnu.
In 2001, he published Dream Journey, his debut instrumental album, and experienced some success. Additionally, he composed the background music for the English-language feature film Tantric Journal.
At the age of 24, he made his feature film musical debut in Smart City (Malayalam) and Mr. Garagasa (Kannada). Following these pictures, he had his big break in 2009 with the Kannada movie Savari. In addition to Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu, Telugu, and Kannada, he has composed music for a number of films.
