Ken Bones
Biography:
Ken Bones is an English actor who was born on June 11, 1947. He belongs to the Royal Shakespeare Company. Between 1971 and 1973, Bones had training at RADA, where he was awarded the John Barton Prize, the Ronson Prize, the Kendal Award, the Poel Prize, and the Honors Diploma. In January 1974, he made his stage debut as Roy in The Odd Couple at Crewe. During that season, he also played Dr. Hennessey in Count Dracula, Vincent Crummles in Nicholas Nickleby, and Wick in Little Malcolm
Bones played Gower in Henry IV and Henry V with Timothy Dalton and the narrator in the rock musical Pilgrim with Paul Jones and Peter Straker during the Prospect Theatre Company’s 1974 and 1975 national tour, which included stops at the Edinburgh Festival and London’s Roundhouse.
After joining the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury in 1976, Bones performed as Ernst Ludwig in Cabaret, Mr. Shanks in Habeas Corpus, Trofimov in The Cherry Orchard, Milo Tindal in Sleuth, and Curly Delafield in Knuckle. He taught science to kids while on tour in 1977 with the educational Mermaid Theatre group “The Molecule Club.” Bones portrayed Lucifer in the Lincoln Mystery Cycle’s first contemporary production at Lincoln Cathedral in 1978.
