K. B. Venu is an Indian actor, screenwriter, director, and novelist who works in the Malayalam cinema industry. He was born on April 19, 1970. He gained notoriety in 2013 for directing the film August Club. In 2015, his book K. G. Georgente Chalachithra Yathrakal got the Kerala State Film Award for Best Book on Cinema.
In Puthenvelikkara, Ernakulam, Venu was born. He earned a master’s degree in English literature from Union Christian College in Aluva and a master’s degree in journalism and communication from the University of Calicut. He resides in Thrissur at the moment.
He directed his first motion picture, August Club, in 2013. Thilakan, Murali Gopi, and Rima Kallingal play the title characters. It describes the subtleties of married life. Anantha Padmanabhan wrote the screenplay for the movie, which is based on his novelette Venalinte Kalaneekkangal. He authored the screenplay for the 2022 movie Headmaster, which is based on the well-known short story “Pothichoru” by Karoor Neelakanta Pillai.
