Biography:
Actor Jorma Tommila was born in 1959. He portrayed Aatami Korpi in the films Sisu (2022) and Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025), and he was awarded the Jussi Award for Best Actor in 1997. Tommila grew up in Kiukainen after being born in Rauma, Finland. After sustaining lung damage during World War II, his father passed away when Jorma was four years old. Tommila’s mother reared him, and Kielo Tommila, his older sister, is an actress. He resides in Vaasa with his family. He is wed to director Jalmari Helander’s sister, actress Ida Helander-Tommila He is the father of actor Onni Tommila.
