Jeo Baby

Biography:

Jeo Baby is an Indian actor, screenwriter, and director of Malayalam movies. In addition to winning the Kerala State Film Award for Best Screenplay, his family drama film The Great Indian Kitchen (2021) won the 51st Kerala State Film Award for Best Film.

He attended St. Joseph College of Communication in Changanacherry to study film. He directed the 2007 short film Secret Minds, which explored same-sex relationships, during his last year. He was suspended and then expelled from the institution along with three other students (the actors and producer). The college claimed that the film contained pornographic sequences that could deceive young people and that they had not obtained authorization to film it on campus. JeoBaby later claimed that the movie “did well at international film festivals.”
