Hu Chen

Biography:

Hu Chen was born in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, on March 3, 1975. His roles include Man of Tai Chi (2013), The Matrix Reloaded (2003), and The Matrix Resurrections (2021). He studied martial arts from China. He joined the Sichuan Wushu Team at the age of 18. He was the winner of China’s National Youth Martial Arts Competition. He traveled to the United States at the age of 19 and studied with Hong Kong martial artist Yuen Woo-ping in the 2000s. He was the All-Around Champion of the San Francisco International Martial Arts Tournament, the Champion of the National Youth Martial Arts Competition, and the Champion of the National Karate (Men’s -60 kg).
