Indian actor, screenwriter, and producer Himanshu Malik is well-known for his Bollywood productions. He made his screen debut in the 1996 romantic comedy Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love.
He rose to fame in the 2001 romantic comedy Tum Bin for his role as affluent Canadian industrialist Abhigyan. Khwahish (2003), Rog (2005), and Jungle (2000) are some of his other well-known works. Chitrakut, his debut picture as a writer, director, and producer, was released on May 20, 2022.
Himanshu started his career doing music videos. The most well-known one was for Afreen Afreen by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan featuring Lisa Ray. Later, he costarred with Sandali Sinha in Sonu Nigam’s Deewane Hoke Hum.
He starred in two films, Ram Gopal Varma’s Jungle (2000) and Mira Nair’s Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996), before making his feature debut. As a supporting actor in Tum Bin (2001), he did, however, get his big break and went on to work in a number of short films.
His next film, Khwahish (2003), starred him opposite Mallika Sherawat in a role known for its sensuality and passionate kissing sequences. He developed and directed Q.E.D., a short film, in 2012. In 2022, he directed Chitrakut, his first feature film.
