American actor and producer Henry Albert Azaria was born on April 25, 1964. Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, Superintendent Chalmers, Comic Book Guy, Snake Jailbird, Professor Frink, Kirk Van Houten, Duffman, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Lou, and Carl Carlson are just a few of the well-known characters he has voiced in the animated sitcom The Simpsons since 1989. Despite having minimal prior experience as a voice actor, Azaria became a regular in the second season of the show. He has received four Primetime Emmy Awards for his efforts on the show.
Azaria’s live-action supporting roles in films including Quiz Show (1994), Heat (1995), The Birdcage (1996) (for which he received a Screen Actors Guild Award), and Godzilla (1998) helped him gain further recognition in addition to his ongoing voice acting on The Simpsons.
