David Fisher

Biography:

David Fisher was born to Holocaust survivors Joseph Fischer (born in Vișeu de Sus, Romania) and Mali Fischer (born in Vashkivtsi, Ukraine). His films Love Inventory, Six Million and One, and The Round Number all heavily feature his four siblings, Estee, Gideon, Ronel, and Amnon. Amnon wrote music for his movies Street Shadows, Six Million and One, and Love Inventory. After graduating from Tel Aviv University with a BFA in Cinema Studies in 1983, Fisher worked for Israeli Educational Television (IETV) until 1989. Yael, Daniele, and Yuval are Fisher’s three children from his marriage to Lili. Fisher follows Yuval while he attends the United World College in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina, in his 2011 film Mostar Round-Trip.
