Chace Crawford

Biography:

Chace Crawford (born July 18, 1985) is an American actor best known for his television roles as Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl (2007–2012) and Kevin Moskowitz/The Deep in The Boys (2019–present). He has also appeared in films such as The Covenant (2006), The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008), Twelve (2010), and What to Expect When You’re Expecting (2012). In 2015, he starred in ABC’s short-lived drama Blood & Oil.

Born in Lubbock, Texas, Crawford grew up in Plano, a Dallas suburb. His father, Chris, is a dermatologist, and his mother, Dana, is a teacher. He briefly lived in Minnesota before returning to Texas, where he attended Trinity Christian Academy. He later studied broadcast journalism and marketing at Pepperdine University but dropped out to pursue acting, supporting himself as a car valet.

Crawford made his film debut in The Covenant (2006) before landing his breakthrough role as Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl. He went on to star in horror and thriller films like The Haunting of Molly Hartley and Eloise, as well as comedies like Peace, Love & Misunderstanding and I Do…Until I Don’t. He played Tex Watson in Charlie Says (2018) and starred in Inheritance (2020) alongside Lily Collins.

In 2018, Crawford was cast as The Deep in Amazon’s The Boys, a satirical superhero series based on Garth Ennis’ comic book. He reprised the role in The Boys Presents: Diabolical (2022). He has also worked in voice acting, including the English dub of Mamoru Hosoda’s Belle (2021).

Crawford previously lived with Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick in New York. He was briefly arrested in 2010 for marijuana possession but resolved the charge with probation and community service. He practices Transcendental Meditation and is the brother-in-law of former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
