Indian actor Chandrakanth (Chandana Lakshmi Narasimha Rao) is most recognised for his roles in Telugu films. He began his professional life as a character artist. After making an appearance in his debut film, Naku Pellam Kavali (1987), he went on to play a few supporting anti-hero parts before continuing to play character actors. His breakout roles were as a doctor in the 2006 film Pokiri and as a brother in the 2006 film Ranam. Chandrakanth appeared in over 160 films. He studied acting at a Hyderabadi film school.
