Cameron Crovetti

Biography:

Cameron Crovetti (born March 12, 2008) is an American actor, best known for playing Ryan Butcher in the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys (2020–present), a role that earned him a Saturn Award nomination.

Born in California to film producer and writer Bradley Cramp and actress Denise Crovetti, Cameron has an older sister, Isabella Crovetti, and a twin brother, Nicholas, both of whom are also actors. Before pursuing acting, he trained as a competitive gymnast and continued to compete even after beginning his acting career. His interest in acting was sparked after watching his sister perform in The Neighbors, which led him and his brother to persuade their mother to let them audition.

Crovetti’s early roles included a guest appearance in Black-ish (2017) and a role in the 2018 drama Anywhere with You. His breakthrough came with HBO’s Big Little Lies, where he and his twin portrayed Josh and Max Wright, the sons of characters played by Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgård. He later acted alongside his brother again in the 2021 horror film Witch Hunt, playing one of the sons of a single mother, portrayed by Elizabeth Mitchell. He also had a recurring role in the crime anthology series Dirty John, playing the son of a feuding divorced couple, played by Amanda Peet and Christian Slater.

In 2020, Crovetti was cast as Ryan Butcher, the son of Homelander (Antony Starr), in The Boys. Initially a recurring character in season 2, he was later promoted to a main role in season 4. His audition took place before the show premiered, and he landed the role after submitting a tape based on his interpretation of the character. Over the course of the series, his character struggles between choosing Homelander or Butcher as a father figure, with the season 3 finale hinting at a darker path. His performance earned him a nomination for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Television Series at the 52nd Saturn Awards.

In 2022, Crovetti starred alongside his brother and Naomi Watts in the psychological horror film Goodnight Mommy and played a younger version of Ryan Gosling’s character in the action thriller The Gray Man. That same year, he voiced Harry Haphazard in the animated series Firebuds. In 2023, he starred in the horror thriller Oracle and portrayed a younger version of Boy, the lead character played by Bill Skarsgård, in the action-comedy Boy Kills World.
