Augustine, also known as Kunnumpurath Mathew Augustine (30 July 1955–14 November 2013), was an Indian actor who performed in Malayalam films. He performed in over 150 films, mostly in negative, comedic, and character roles. His daughter is actress Ann Augustine. Augustine started his acting career in theatre before joining the Malayalam cinema business in the middle of the 1980s with an uncredited part in the 1983 film Swapnalokam, which starred Sreenath. In 1986, he made his first acknowledged appearance in Gandhinagar 2nd Street, a role that Sreenivasan had promised him in exchange for helping the latter locate a site for the film.
