Indian actress Amrutha Iyengar was born on July 26, 1996. Her main role is in Kannada movies. In addition to receiving two nominations for the South Filmfare Awards, she has won two South Indian International Movie Awards.
In 2017, Amrutha debuted as an actress in Simha Hakida Hejje. With Love Mocktail and Popcorn Monkey Tiger (2020), she experienced a breakthrough in her career. The former won her the SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actress – Kannada. Amrutha was awarded the SIIMA Critics Award for Best Actress – Kannada for her role in Badava Rascal (2021).
At the age of 19, Amrutha debuted as an actress in the Vikram Kumar-directed film Simha Hakida Hejje from 2017. Her next appearance was in the 2019 film Anushka, which got mixed reviews. She gained notoriety in 2020 for her role in the blockbuster film Love Mocktail, which won her plaudits for depicting a negative character.
She then starred in Popcorn Monkey Tiger, directed by Duniya Suri, alongside actor Dhananjaya. She worked with Dhananjaya once more in 2021, this time on his first home production, Daali Pictures’ Badava Rascal, which was likewise a hit film.
