Aari Arujunan
Biography:
Indian actor Aari Arujunan has acted in Tamil-language movies. Before making his breakthrough in Nedunchaalai (2014) and appearing in the paranormal thriller Maya, he made his feature film debut in Rettaisuzhi (2010), which was produced by Shankar. He won the Bigg Boss 4 reality show in 2021. Aari had experience in theater before going into movies, appearing in shows by Magic Lantern, Theatre Nisha, and Inland Theatres. He was cast in T. V. Chandran’s Aadum Koothu (2006) after making a little appearance in Alaiyadikkuthu (2005). Rettaisuzhi (2010), directed by Shankar, was Aari’s first feature film. It was revealed in October 2011 that Aari would co-star with Miss South India 2010 winner Shubha Phutela in Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey. Aari said it was “really challenging to play an ordinary guy” since he had to deliberately control his emotions at all times. Aari played the lead in N. Krishna’s third project, Nedunchaalai (2014), a love road trip movie set in the 1980s that took two years to finish.The movie received favorable reviews when it first came out. The comedy Kadai Enn6, his next project, is still unreleased. In 2015, Guhan Sambandham, a rookie, directed another project called Dharani, which did not go as well as Nayanthara.
