Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu released on 20th April. The movie directed by Siva Koratala is the second collaboration between the actor and the director. With the combination craze adding to the movie buzz, the pre-release business of the movie is above 100 crores. The movie was feared to lose lot more than Spyder, had Mahesh Babu scored another disaster. But this time, the combination clicked and the movie got a positive talk.
In USA, the day one of the movie is close to 1.35 Million USD, including premieres on Thursday and in all other territories, the movie is close to rake in One Million USD. This is a first for any Telugu Cinema. The movie collected a gross of Rs. 78 lakhs from Tamil Nadu on its first day and it is huge for any Telugu film. Remember Baahubali series films have been released in Tamil. The movie has created a record in UAE/GCC and at Australian box office too.
AP/TS markets responded equally well to the movie. With Rs. 4.67 crores from first day in Nizam, Mahesh Babu became the first actor to put up Rs. 4 crores opening consecutively for the fourth time. In Guntur and Krishna districts the film collected Rs. 4.05 cr and Rs. 1.93 cr shares to put up Non-BB records. The total Worldwide share is said to be Rs. 37.25 crores with share from AP and TS, standing at Rs. 23.75 crores and Karnataka contributing Rs. 4.10 cr. This is a huge start for the film and the weekend is set to be close to Rs. 50 – 52 crores for the movie and with two weeks of free space and holidays for schools announced till 2nd June, the movie seems to be all set to collect close to Rs.100 crores at the Box Office.
