Twitter is a social networking platform where you can express yourself in a confined 140 characters to the world. It was in the start touted to be a micro blogging site that helped you write concise and previse messages. Slowly, it became another Facebook, losing it uniqueness with several corporates taking to it as a popular digital promotional medium. With things taking such a turn, all the celebrities also took it as an opportunity to promote their films and ideologies. This was fine until they confined to their films but whenever they tried to pass their opinion on any bigger issues they found themselves being highly trolled, condemened and even abused by several immature adults and anti fans. Even Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan like stars have expressed their disgust regarding such trend asking their fans to not indulge in abuse.
But few actors have been still troubled by this. Sushanth Singh Rajput expressed his view on Befikre and many angry fans of Ranveer Singh and YRF, still abuse him for speaking his mind. Even Simbu had to walk out of Twitter and hand it to a celebrity social networking management company to tweet on his behalf with extreme negativity. Following the trend, now an actress who survived for 16 years in South Film Industry, Trisha had to bear the burnt and she chose to exit Twitter due to deep hurt. Jalli kattu, is one traditional sport in Tamil Nadu played during the Pongal season. In the sport, bulls run haywire and several youngsters try to stop the bull from running over the people. But this tradition has come under the scanner with several animal activists taking an offence to it. Peta India, strongly condemns the tradition and a case as been filled against the conduction of annual events in Tamil villages.
But the Tamil community took an offence to it and they want to save the tradition and are marching against the Supreme Court demanding it to not go against their wishes and rich tradition. While this issue has become a hot topic, several actors took their stands in favor and several protested in silence. All of sudden, Trisha on Twitter, opposed the Jallikattu tradition, in support of Peta. And she had been trolled for the very reason and abused as well. Immediately, she deleted the tweet and de-activated her account, claiming someone as hacked her account. She said she was deeply hurt by abuse targeting her initiated by some vested interests. Her mother Uma, reported the issue with Cyber Police and demanded security for her kid during shooting. Well, the matter seems to have just heated up.
