Several celebrities, YouTubers and social media influencers have landed in trouble for promoting betting apps. Cases have been registered against Tollywood actors Vijay Devarakonda, Rana, Prakash Raj, Manchu Lakshmi, Nidhhi Agerwal, Ananya Nagalla and Pranitha Subhash.
Social media influencers and Television stars such as Sreemukhi, Varshini, Shobha Shetty, Imran Khan, Vishnu Priya, Harsha Sai, Bayya Sunny Yadav, Shyamala, Tasty Teja, Rithu Chowdhary, and Supritha have also been named in the case. Some have already appeared for questioning, while others are expected to do so soon.
Miyapur police have also booked Siri Hanumanthu, Vamsi Soundarya Rajan, Vasantha Krishna, Amrutha Chowdary, Nayani Pavani, Neha Pathan, Pandu, Padmavati, Sai, and Bandaru Shesha Sukruthi.
However, the police have not yet revealed further details regarding the investigation.
