Imran Khan once faced the fear many writers have someone stealing their script. Back in 2005, he took a script to a channel, and it got stolen. Since he was unknown then, he couldn’t do anything about it and felt helpless.
He later said that if he had recognition, maybe they would not have dared. At that time he was just 22 and looking for work as an assistant director.
During this struggle he met someone who connected him to Abbas Tyrewala who was casting for a new film. Imran auditioned, got along with Abbas and that film turned out to be Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008) his debut movie.
The film not only gave him a dream start but also made him a household name overnight everywhere.
Looking back Imran often recalls how a painful setback eventually pushed him towards the opportunity that changed his life.
