The Truth Behind Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ Palace

Ranbir Kapoor’s movie “Animal” is making waves despite mixed reviews, gaining traction even after its opening weekend. The film sparked extensive online chatter, notably focusing on its 200-minute runtime filled with aggression, violence, intense romance, and lengthy dialogues.

Initially, discussions centered on Ranbir Kapoor’s character, later shifting to the female leads in the film. Notably, fans recently discovered that the house depicted as Ranbir Kapoor’s residence in “Animal” actually belongs to Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

The grand house scenes in the movie were filmed at Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral property, the Pataudi Palace. Built in the 1930s by Saif’s grandfather, the Nawab of Pataudi, the palace boasts expansive lawns and majestic interiors. Interestingly, scenes featuring Rannvijay Balbir posing for a family portrait were shot on the palace grounds.

Saif Ali Khan shared in a recent interview that despite not inheriting the property, he had to clear a lease to obtain ownership of the Pataudi Palace after the passing of Mansoor Ali Khan. Notably, the palace has also served as a filming location for other productions like Prime Video’s “Tandav,” Julia Roberts’ “Eat Pray Love,” and Aamir Khan’s “Rang De Basanti.” There’s a humorous online buzz suggesting Saif Ali Khan earns more from leasing the palace for filming than from his acting career, highlighting the palace’s popularity in the film industry.
