Vijay Sethupathi Opens Up On His New Action Film

Vijay Sethupathi, known for choosing emotional and powerful roles, is now trying something new. He’s teaming up with director Puri Jagannadh for a high-energy action movie.

This film also marks his first collaboration with actress Tabu. In an interview, Vijay shared his thoughts on the project. Despite Puri Jagannadh’s recent flops, Vijay said he chose the film because he liked the script. “I don’t judge directors by their past work. I do films if I like the story,” he said.

Talking about working with Tabu, he said, “She’s a great actress, and I’m excited to work with someone so talented”.

He also looked back on Maharaja, a film that deeply affected him. “It was the most emotionally difficult role I’ve done,” he shared, adding that being a father made the topic more personal.

Vijay also has two more Tamil films coming soon Train and Ace. Whether it’s intense drama or mass action, Vijay says he wants to keep growing by trying new things and staying real to his craft.
