Tamil Nadu limits the theatre occupancy to 50 percent; What about Telugu states?
Considering the widespread of Covid-19 cases across the country, respective state governments are again imposing lockdown restrictions. As the second wave of Covid-19 is gaining momentum with each passing day, a couple of days back, the government of Karnataka announced that the theatres’ occupancy will be limited to 50% only.
Following the same trend, the Tamil Nadu state government imposed a 50% occupancy rule across the state which will come into existence from April 9th onwards.
Though our twin Telugu state governments are yet to announce any new lockdown rules, the increase in the Covid-19 cases in both the states may lead to 50% theatres occupancy in the coming days, say film and market experts.
